Privacy GDPR & Cookie Law

Scenario Srl has adopted company procedures and policies in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU Regulation 2016/679) to ensure high standards of security and rules for the proper processing of Personal Data. The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) EU Regulation 2016/679 is an EU regulation that constitutes the most significant initiative on data protection in the last 20 years. The aim is to protect "natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data," for example, the user of a website.
Cookies are mentioned only once in the 88 pages that make up the Regulation. However, these few lines have a significant impact on cookie compliance: (Recital 30 referring to Article 4 paragraph 1): “Natural persons can be associated with online identifiers [...] such as internet protocol addresses, cookie identifiers, or other identifiers [...]. This could leave traces that, in particular when combined with unique identifiers and other information received from servers, could be used to create profiles of natural persons and identify them.”

Scenario Srl uses technologies involving “cookies” on the following web pages, and this policy aims to clearly and simply explain how they are used.

What are Cookies

Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow a web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored by the user's browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone), according to the user's preferences. Similar technologies can be used to collect information about user behavior and service usage. In the following document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply as "cookies". Visit AboutCookies.org for more information about cookies and how they affect your browsing experience.

Categories, Types, and Purposes of Cookies

Based on the characteristics and usage of cookies, we can distinguish the following:

Strictly Necessary Cookies (category), First Party (type), whose Purpose is:
These are essential cookies for the proper functioning of the site (First Party or “proprietary” cookies), and are used to manage login and access to reserved site features. The duration of these cookies is strictly limited to the session (once the browser is closed, they are deleted). Disabling them compromises the use of services that require login. To disable cookies, refer to the section below "How to Disable Cookies in the Browser." The public part of the site remains usable.

Analytics and Performance Cookies (category), Third Party (type), whose Purpose is:
These cookies are used to collect and analyze site traffic and usage anonymously. These cookies, while not identifying the user, allow, for example, detection if the same user returns at different times. They also help monitor the system and improve performance and usability. Disabling these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.

Profiling Cookies (category), Third Party (type), whose Purpose is:
These are persistent cookies used to identify (either anonymously or not) user preferences and improve their browsing experience. Scenario Srl does not use profiling cookies for its website.

Third-Party Cookies
When visiting a general website, cookies can be received both from the site being visited ("proprietary") and from sites managed by other organizations ("third parties"). The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by their respective policies, to which you should refer. For greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various policies and cookie management instructions are listed below.

This site uses only a session cookie strictly necessary to manage login and access to the reserved features of the site (First Party or "proprietary" cookies). The cookie is active only if the user logs into the reserved area.

This site does not use (nor allow third parties to use) Google's analytics tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor attempts to link an IP address with a user's identity.

Google may also share this information with third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on behalf of Google.
In accordance with the Privacy Shield certification, Google declares that it complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield provisions.
